Face exams by being prepared
Posted by avnrurfriend in EXAM TIPS on Saturday, May 1, 2010
It is that time of the year again! It is exams all over again. We all have to take exams at one time or the other in our life. But the most important exams are those that decide our future. Here are some tips that www.avnrworld.blogspot.com has specially compiled to help you sail through your exams comfortably.
These tips will be of use only for those who have actually prepared for the exam. If your preparation is incomplete, they will be of no use!
-
Study at moderate pace. Take a break of 5 minutes after every 50-minute study.
-
If you have finished preparing, take a walk, listen to music, watch a movie, do anything that will help you relax.
-
Get a good night's sleep.
-
Take your Hall Ticket, watch, pencils, pens, scale, rubber and also a good luck charm for your exam.
-
Resist the temptation to indulge in last minute discussion with your friends. Your friends may learn their lessons in a different way.
-
Take deep breaths and relax your muscles when you feel nervous.
-
Focus your attention on the question, and work out a plan-for example, "I'll do this first…. And then this".
-
When you get your question paper, read the questions and the directions carefully.
-
Start off by answering the questions that you know.
-
While answering multiple choice questions, read all the options first and then eliminate the wrong answers. If you are not sure about the answer rely on your intuition.
-
While writing short answers, stick to the word limit. Excessive writing irritates the person grading the paper.
-
While writing long answers, start with a sketch or outline of the essay and then begin the overview.
-
Make sure you have enough time at the end to review your answers.
-
Don't start preparing for your next exam immediately, take a break and relax.
